Home game last night didn’t go well.
Not for me anyway. I lost $30. I didn’t realize we were going to play a tournament, but that’s what we started with. $10 buy in and we had 10 guys. I think that is silly, with 10 guys the first guy out is probably going to have to wait a couple hours to play again. I went out 3rd, the hand that crippled me was when I had pocket 7’s and a 7 came on the flop. After aggressively betting the flop and turn and one guy calling me down, I checked the river and he got his straight on the river. Sadly, those 3 7’s would end up being my best hand on the night, hence my losing another $20 in the cash game. I could have played longer, tried to get money back, but at 1am my heart and head weren’t in it anymore, so I cut my losses at that point. Things are looking up today though. I’ve been spending some time getting my first batch of home brewed beer going. I love beer and I’m so looking forward to making many different beers here at home now.
