Poker and football.

Doesn’t get much better than poker and football, right? Well winning at poker and watching football I suppose. I decided to play a Limit Omaha Hi/Lo Freeroll while watching the Giants and Packers last night. My wife and a niece went to a Martina McBride concert and with the brutal weather here in Michigan, I picked up my niece and dropped them both off at the concert. When I get back, I start the freeroll and the game. About 3 hours later my wife calls to pick them up. At the time I had 62,000+ in chips, there were about 240+ players out of 8,933 left (top 99 move on to cash tourney), and I hit “sit out” while I picked them up. By the time I got back I was down to 28,000 in chips, and within a few minutes the blinds went to 8,000/16,000 and there were 119 players left. I split one small pot (from the big blind) and folded every other hand for about 20 minutes, and finished 94th to get my ticket to the cash tourney. :) I know, not very exciting, but I figure it’s all free, it’s still experience, and I’m starting to feel like getting back into my cash games. Now I just need to decide, go back to my .02/.04 Limit Holdem or stick with .o1/.o2 No limit Holdem? Maybe both.
