Taking Home Brewing to the next level.

Today is one week since I last played poker. No, I haven’t given up, far from it. Between golf, yard work, Detroit Red Wings and Pistons playoff games and other little projects and plans, I just haven’t had the time. Now, where was I? Oh yeah, beer…

Colorful Beers (by Jim B L)

I was pleasantly surprised last night to find my wife had bought me a Brewer’s Best deluxe home brewing kit, an upgrade from my Mr. Beer kit. The Mr. Beer kit is nice and simple, but it’s simplicity limits how much experimentation you can do. With this new deluxe kit, I can buy a much larger variety of ingredient kits or buy my own combination of, barley, hops, yeast, etc to create my own concoctions. She also bought me two books, Homebrewing for Dummies and The Complete Joy of Homebrewing, and I’ve already started reading and learning. As someone that loves beer, home brewing can be so rewarding, I can’t wait to fill my head with some of this new knowledge and get my next batch brewing! Thanks hon, you’re awesome!

I need to try home brewing. I love beer! Maybe when I get some extra time… I think that is always the case, too many projects to do.

I just started home brewing this year after wanting to do it for some time. I know what you mean, I haven’t had time to play poker even! Hoping this weekend to play some, and maybe start a new batch of home brew.
