The Holdem roller coaster ride continues.

Old school ride (by Jim B L)

I’m currently mired in my worst stretch of holdem since I started my online journey almost a year ago. In 2 of my last 3 sessions I’ve lost $19+, dropping my bankroll to $150.07 when I was just about to eclipse $170. All things considered it isn’t as bad as I originally felt, I mean I did start with $2.00 and have steadily made it this far, this is holdem and this is going to happen. It’s just a bit more frustrating when I’m consistently being aggressive with the best hand and consistently getting beat by drawing hands and suck outs. Now that’s not to say I haven’t made some bad plays, because I have. It just makes one question their own play, doubt themselves, even wonder if someone I thought was a donkey is actually a good player. After a bit of time to reflect on it though I realize they’re just donkeys, and donkeys win sometimes. It can’t continue…right? In any case, this weekend is my 2 year wedding anniversary and we have a lot planned, so I see a nice little break from holdem this weekend.
