Are gas prices killing you? Winning a 2009 Civic Hybrid could help.

Charter Communications is running a contest and giving away a 2009 Honda Civic Hybrid to the winner. That is a $24,000 car that gets up to 45 mpg on the highway, has a 160 watt stereo system, USB audio interface, MP3 auxiliary input jack, and the beloved continuously variable transmission. Finally, a giveaway worth more than an ad spot or some trumped up traffic to your site.
By now you must be wondering what the catch is. The main catch is you must reside in a Charter Communications’ serviceable area (I can’t get it in my area now, but that won’t stop me from giving my readers a chance to win). If you can get Charter in your area, you’ll be happy to know there is no purchase necessary, you can register to win without buying anything from Charter. If you were already planning on purchasing any Charter services (i.e. High-Speed Internet, Digital Video or Telephone), even better, you’ll be automatically entered to win. Years ago when I had Charter, I was more than happy with their service, and I wish I had them as an option now, and not just because of the contest, more because Comcast is a bully and keeps raising their prices and lowering their customer service. So here is your chance to save green while you go green, but don’t wait too long, your window to enter into the contest ends on October 31st, 2008.
