Today is my last of a 5 day weekend, and what a great 5 days it’s been. I think I’ll even get to see history today. I don’t see anyway the Detroit Lions (0-15) get a win on the road against the Green Bay Packers (5-10). Meaning they will have the worst season in history. [...] I played hold ‘em again tonight for the first time in a week. I only played for about 30 minutes and won $9 bringing the bankroll up to $278, which ties my all time high (knock on wood). It’s been a busy week since the TPT event last Thursday, and any time I had I [...] I finally had a good showing at a Twitter Poker Tour event. I only play in the PokerStars events since I don’t have money over at Full Tilt right now, so this was just my 4th TPT event. I haven’t missed a Stars TPT event yet, although last night was close- I got home, turned [...] I hate being that guy that talks about bad beats, but I am seriously confused as to what is considered a good starting hand anymore. For instance, evidently, pocket 5’s are definitely good enough to get all in with pre flop. After the flop, I’m about a 92% favorite, which means nothing. Major underdog FTW! ——————– Just a quick update here. I played two days last week and won $25 getting me back up to $260. I’ve played some today though and am down $10, but it was much worse than that at one point, so the little come back feels good. I’m still playing $10NL even though the bankroll dipped [...] Does that sound like the grind of a hold ‘em player or what!? My goal was to move up to $10NL at $250, which I did. At $278 the losing commenced all the way down to $235. I decided to move back down to $5 NL and after a few sessions the bankroll is back [...] This probably really sad, but this is the first I’ve heard of the Pokerstars World Blogger Championship of Online Poker. The only reason I found out about it was I was recently followed by someone on Twitter who has also entered and blogged about it. It’s a win-win situation really. After moving up when my bankroll reached $250, I had a few good sessions bringing me up to $278 (the highest my bankroll has ever been). The fun ended there though. After 3 straight losing sessions totaling $43 in losses which brought my bankroll [...] We all want to be professional poker players, right? Just say yes.
