Does that sound like the grind of a hold ‘em player or what!? My goal was to move up to $10NL at $250, which I did. At $278 the losing commenced all the way down to $235. I decided to move back down to $5 NL and after a few sessions the bankroll is back up to $255. Now I’ll move up to $10 NL again. After my post about moving down to $5NL I received some feedback that I shouldn’t have given up on $10NL so fast, and there probably is some truth to that, but ultimately I have to be comfortable with the stakes I’m playing. I had lost some confidence in my game and was starting sessions with a bad attitude, so I changed it up, that’s all. This is my 3rd move up to $10NL, and hopefully my last move up to 10NL.

I don’t think dropping down to $5NL was a bad move. You were able to increase your bankroll and take another stab at $10NL. At $235, you are in between, either $5NL or $10NL is doable.

With a bit of luck you’ll hit $10NL running this time and won’t look back.

@ PokerPlasm- Yeah I figure with a small bankroll it’s better to be conservative with it.
@ s1ndr0me – I hope you’re right. I’m anxious to give it another shot. Unfortunately I don’t think I’ll have much time to play until this weekend.
