Looming in the darkness.

I recently decided I’m going to stop including my photography in every post.  Instead I will be, for the most part, keeping hold ‘em and photography posts separate.  I’m doing this for a few reasons, but mainly because my web page will load faster since every post won’t have a photo in it.  The primary focus of this blog will still be my hold ‘em journey, but this division will allow me to write more about my photography rather than just post the photos.  With that being said, here is what I expect to be the first of many “photo focused” posts.  This is a photo of one of my cats as seen through a staircase railing.  Abby is lying on the back of the couch which butts up against the staircase railing.  Because of the dark setting I doubt you’d gather that much just from looking at the photo.  I think the lack of light along with the natural framing of the rails puts emphasis on her eye and is the reason I like this shot.  If nothing else it’s different.

Very cool photo. It reminds me of the T-Rex shot in Jurrasic Park…nice!

Thanks man, glad you liked it! I have a strange eye for photography usually, so I just figure most people will think “blah” when they see my photos.
