A small milestone: I have turned $2 into $300.
The first post of 2009 brings good news, I just ended a session on PokerStars and my bankroll has surpassed $300 for the first time. To many of my readers this is small potatos, but for me it’s a big deal, considering it’s been over a year now since I won $2.00 in a freeroll and I have been grinding my way to $301.11 ever since. I have yet to deposit any of my own money and that has always been the original goal, which is why I take bankroll management so seriously and also why I might be a bit conservative when moving up limits. The best part about this minor milestone is this is just the beginning of what I hope to be a long but successful poker journey. So happy new year to everyone and may we all have a healthy and prosperous 2009. Now I’m off to have a beer, watch some football and the Winter Classic. By the way, don’t forget about the Twitter Poker Tour event tonight on PokerStars at 9:00 PM ET, hope to see you there.

Congrats! I guess it wouldn’t make for very good reading if I wrote a blog post “I have turned $500 into $50″, would it?

Easycure- Haha, I wouldn’t go that far, yet. I like the thought though.
pkrplyer- Thanks! It could be a good read, if you have a way with words.

@ jim, Honestly m8, thats a real good achievement. I know that you’ve been struggling to get over the $300 “hump”. Keep going, the skys the limit.

Congrats with you great result! That kind of discipline (and respect for your bankroll) will get you far.
If I were you I would write down the most important lessons you have learned so far and keep them on a piece of paper close to your computer. When you become a high roller you can look back on your lessons learned to keep both feet solidly planted in the ground.

Good going on this! Keep up the good work. I am in the same rut I hope you have just come out of. I am just hovering in the same spot which is preventing me from moving up a limit. Keep on grinding!
