Over the past few years, I've suffered from never wanting to leave the tables until I had no choice (i.e., I ran out of money). That's not to say I never made money. I just found myself time and time again driving home mad at myself because I could have left with more (or at least some) money in my pocket. This year I started over with some "rules" that I'm trying to live by. For me, the most important is to leave once I've accumulated at least twice my initial buy-in. That does two things for me: 1) cuts down on the time I spend at the tables and 2) makes it more likely that I won't chase away my profits. So far so good. However, the year is still young!
